What will Lilly be for Halloween...

A BUMBLE BEE
Brandt and I took Lilly to Gardner Village to take some pictures of her in the Halloween costume. Lilly loved it! We let her wander around a bit and she thought that was spectacular! We even had an audience at one point and Lilly ate it up. She was all dressed up and putting on a great show! There was even a cute little grandma from the visiting senior living center that took a picture of her, she was quite the entertainer. I think when she is a little bit older we will have to put her in a dance class!! Here are some preview pictures we took. I actually ended up going back with my mom and sisters and decided to take more. You can never have enough pictures and I think this is a perfect place to take them!!

Way to go Idaho!!

We spent this last weekend in Idaho at Brandt's parents house. We decided instead of driving the 5 hours to Boise we would fly for 2 hours. Lilly has no problem flying, me on the other hand, it makes me a little sick. There was a point on the way up that Brandt actually handed me the little bag to throw up in, don't worry I didn't! Lilly slept most of the way up and the whole way back. We had a great time going to the zoo, riding Grandma's horse and running around their new ranch. It was a nice, quick get away. We could have done without Lilly's ear infection we came home with though, she got sort of crabby Saturday and then we had a really crappy night Sunday. I am glad we got home and had her seen, antibiotics here we come!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

UTAH FOOTBALL !!
Tonight is the opening game against Utah State. Brandt and I will be there with my whole family cheering them on!! Even Lilly is dressed for the occasion. One day she will love to go to the games too, the yelling, screaming, hotdogs, popcorn and peanuts. Some of my favorite memories of growing up is going to Utah football games. We have had the same seats since I can remember. My parents even bought our seats when they remodeled the stadium, they are in their backyard. And I have a giant "Coca-Cola" sign in my garage from the stadium as well. GO UTES!! Oh, and a huge thank you to Brandt's sister for keeping Lilly.

A size up!

I can't believe we have gone from this...
On our way home, Lilly was 3 days old

To this...

14 months old
We finally moved Lilly from her rear facing baby carrier to an actual forward facing car seat. When we brought Lilly home she was only 5 pounds, they had to run tests on her in her carrier to make sure she could breath. Well now, 14 months later, the pediatrician gave us the ok to switch her around. Her weight wasn't becoming the issue, it was her height. She was just becoming to tall for the baby carrier. She probably doesn't even weigh close to 20 pounds, maybe 18, but we were told it was all about head control and the doctor felt like she was ready. I think she loves riding forward. There is so much more to look at and see, she seems to jabber more to us as well. Maybe she is trying to tell us and ask what she is seeing. Now, are there any tricks on getting her to sleep in this or moving her once she is asleep?

SL County Fair 2009

We decided to head to the fair Friday night. It was so much fun. I love seeing and showing the animals to Lilly. I think her favorite parts were the chickens and the pony ride. I thought she would hate it and freak out a bit. But she loved it, she actually got mad when Brandt had to take her off. We tried to get her to pet a bunny but she just wouldn't do it. She would get close and then pull her hand away. Can I tell you what she did love? FUNNEL CAKE!! Who doesn't love funnel cake? Well Lilly thought it was fabulous, there was powdered sugar all over her and me. The nice older couple sitting across from us laughed at the mess and gave us wet-naps. I think it was the grandma's own personal stash from her purse. We were grateful they had some and were willing to share!

It "rocked"...

Tonight as I put Lilly to bed she let me rock her for about 10 minutes. See, Lilly is not a baby that will let you cuddle or rock her. She likes to be facing out on your lap when you feed her. But tonight I sang her a song, the same song, over and over again as she played with my face. It reminded me of those first days when all she wanted was to be held. I loved it!! Here is our song...
I love you Lilly, I do.
I love you Lilly, it's true.
I love you Lilly, I do.
Oh Lilly I love you!
It may be something really small but it made my whole day!
I thought this picture was sweet.
And the little bald baby reminds me of Lilly too.
